RALEIGH
Wow...the last three months have brought so many changes. Joey is away in St. Louis playing ball, I'm now employed by my most favorite company in the world, oh, and I'm on the opposite side of the country.
The Dixie Chicks song, "Wide Open Spaces" is really poignant right about now! I thought that my big adventure was moving from Louisiana to Scottsdale, but that was only the very tip of the iceberg.
So many life changes.
I miss my best friends....Liz has a serious boyfriend that I've never met. I thought I told her that she couldn't date anyone that I haven't given to OK to!!!
Cathlean is now a mommy. I can't wait to love little Caroline as much as her mom.
Katie just pulled up roots in LA and has made the voyage to Oregon to begin life there with Matt....HOW EXCITING! I'm envious of their bond and courage to go into the unknown together.
Kristina, who became my lifelong friend while we worked at SWCP together, mailed an "I Miss You" card to my Raleigh office! I almost cried...it's soooo nice to be loved.
It's introspective times like these when I wonder what the heck I'm doing. Why am I not with my family in LA? I miss them so much. I keep thinking about our bbq a few Friday's ago and how much fun I have with them.
And I miss Joey desperately. He is truly my best friend in every way, and we get so little time to communicate. Well, at least May is already over! One month down, four to go.
I love my apartment! Mom really, really, really helped to make it a home. We had such a good time on our trip! I'm glad I got to spend that time with her! I'll post some pics later...just wanted to catch everyone up on what's been going on since March!
Love to all,
j

Glad to see you are blogging again! I hope everything is going ok. I know it is hard to "start over" but you will benefit from it in the long run. Just think of the exciting life adventures that the future may bring.
When I started teaching (many years ago), there were many weeks that I worked 60-80 hours without the good pay the you are making...so hang in there. I promise it will get better as you gain more experience! I love you, Aunt Cathy
Jess - You are a very strong, intelligent woman. These qualities will help you as you make your path through life. If they don't, go to sonic and have a milkshake and some chili cheeze fries...and call it good.
I am so very proud of you.
JD
Jessica - you rock! So excited you are back in the FH family and on the East Coast! Don't forget to send us your address if you want a housewarming present.
