The Good Life

Have I told you that I have a great life? 'Cause I do.

Joey is learning to play the guitar, and last night we rocked out to "Yankee Doodle" and "Spanish Song"....very fun! Reminded me of living in VA with Uncle Jim and Aunt Ann: on weekends, Uncle Jim would shake the house with his cool electric guitar playing. If Joey keeps up the way he has been, Uncle Jim, you might have some ROCKIN' company!

After our sing-along, Joey read from Shoeless Joe by W.P. Kinsella (later made into the popular movie, "Field of Dreams"). We have been reading it aloud a little at a time since a former professor mailed us the book. This is my most favorite part of the night. I love story time:)

As I fell asleep last night, I thought that it's so nice to have a home that is a safe haven, where love and appreciation flow so freely.

Glug Stuff

SWCP Winter Trip 2006 was a total BLAST! We did the world's longest zip line at Salt Lake City's Olympic Park, completed a snowshoe scavenger hunt (bottom pic), snowmobiled like there was no tomorrow, skiied a tiny bit, and ate a seven course gourmet dinner in a yurt. Man, the days I love my job, I REALLY love my job!

The yurt was the most unique experience. There was no electricity or running water, as the yurt is literally at the top of a massive mountain. Also, the yurt is just one room, so we could watch the chef prepare our feast. It wasn't simple either! I was amazed. Also amazed because there was no bathroom...just an outhouse. First time to have to use an outhouse while being fed the most fabulous and intricate meal I've ever eaten.

It snowed while we were there...I really love the snow. As long as I'm just playing in it:)

P.S. Ever had a mug of glug? Top pic is Kristina and I glugging it up in the yurt!
